Latex Tube

2

The only latex tube that is for 23mm tyres. Michelin have really gone down hill. The latex will only last about 18 months & go sticky. When they were made in France they would last years. I still use them because they are the best of what is around, but must be changer regularly.

Quality Product

5

Really good value product, noticeably improves rolling resistance. No issues with punctures (so far), you do have to check the tyre pressures each day as they do seem to lose pressure slowly. Added bonus with them being green/blue it is easier to ensure you don't nip them when changing tubes! recommend this product.

The best

5

Been using these for years, they give a more comfortable ride, and no more likely to puncture than butyl tubes. If you do puncture and temporarily replace with a butyl tube you can instantly feel the difference in ride quality. Yes, they need to be pumped up more often, but still well worth it. They are supposed to be faster as well- I need every help I can get so stick with these ! At the time of purchase probikekit had the best price and excellent fast delivery, so top marks to probikekit as well.

Great so far

5

No complains, working well after a few thousand miles. At a price barely higher than butyl tubes, I don't see a reason to not use these for daily riding. I still carry a butyl tube for a spare on rides as they are a little easier to mount. Mounting is not very difficult if there is a sufficient amount of talc/baby powder on the tube to allow it to move more freely. Some people may have to add additional rim tape when switching to latex. I did not find this to be an issue.

Be carefull with installation

4

These tubes don't seem to be as elastic as their black-butyl counterparts. Initially when uninflated they are larger so extra care has to be taken when installing them. I've managed to puncture the first one because I apparently somehow managed to squeeze it between tyre and rim even though I was extremely cautious. The best way to install it is to slightly inflate it and then go around the rim on both sides using your hands to displace tyre so you can see between rim and tyre that there is no tube in between. If everything's fine, inflate afterwards. Apart from that installation and regular inflation annoyance they feel softer at same pressure as butyl tubes. And they also seem to offer more comfortable ride on uneven surface. But this is all very subjective.

Good tubes

4

Latex generally are tricky to install, easy to damage while installing or removing a tire, and cannot be repaired quickly. But the advantages are considerable. Less rolling resistance (3-5 watts, supposedly), difficult to puncture, and when it does puncture the leak is very slow. I use latex all the time--these and Vittorias. My only gripe about these tubes is the fact that the valve core isn't removable. The Vittoria latex valve core can be removed, however.

Pretty good replacement tube

I like the tube - easy to work with. Rides well It's nice and malleable so it gives you a lot of storage options for the spare

Real Rubber

5

Latex really does feel good. You will notice the difference but just take care putting it on as it can easily get trapped "unnoticeably" between rim and tyre bead.... bang!

Nice Tubes

4

These are great tubes for performance minded riders. They are light and shown to decrease rolling resistance but don't hold air as well and rubber tubes.
