I bought this stem to fit to a new evo nano frame alongside my thomson elite inline seatpost. The seatpost is currently on my Caad10 and I find it is excellent, very stiff, slightly understated, excellent workmanship. I thought I'd try the stem to go with it, and quite like the fact it's at 10deg also, as having ridden 17deg and 6 deg, the 10 deg seems it will be a good compromise. I've not ridden the bike yet as the build will be finished this weekend. Meanwhile the shiny, excellently engineered clean lines and wonderfully finished Thomson stem is attached and slammed to the steerer dust cap. I'm sure it will perform perfectly and issue free. As far as fitting the stem goes, I was a bit apprehensive about the two bolt setup, but tightening up the bolts, and holding the bars central, and angled was a doddle, far easier than a four bolt system. The interlocking pieces are very accurately machined. So there you go, Thomson & US engineering, a recommended product by me!
Quality over weight
The surface work done on this stem is at another level. Its focus is strength and safety over weight savings. Curiously, it has an unusual stack height which is about 4mm less than most other stems.
