I love Di2, but always hated the junction under the stem. After spending a fortune on the state-of-the-art electric shifting, Shimano uses a janky plastic band to hold the junction box onto the stem...it's stupid. Finally, this junction tucks all the wires into the handlebars! A word of warning, check to see if your handlebars are hollow all the way through. My Ritchey Carbon WCS bars were not, so new bars were needed. Getting bars with pre-molded openings meant I didn't need a Y-cable that was super long, but your mileage may vary.
