A simple, basic and relatively cheap bicycle computer which measures cadence as well. It was easy to install and worked straight away as it should. Unless you need, or want to spend hundreds more on a much bigger and more complicated computer, this is a very good solution.
I really enjoy this computer. For the price point it provides great feedback on my cadence and helps me save energy to improve my cycling. For an entry level computer this is the way to go. And it's easy to install yourself if u are halfway smart about reading directions
i like this computer because when i go on the roller during winter i still can do my training knowing speed and cadence, so i can time my intervals. All this because the speed sensor is on the rear wheel and not the front. I got used to the display of the cateye strada that i am always a little lost when i use another computer.
Before upgrading to my Garmin 500 I used the Cateye Strada for a few months. Even though it doesn't have all the nifty features a GPS equipped computer would have it does an amazing job of reporting the functions it does. I honestly wouldn't mind purchasing one again since sometimes all you really need is speed, distance and cadence.
Simple to use, clesr screen and only to essential information. All that is needed when cycling.
Why did I get this? It's inexpensive and Cateye has always served me reliably. I wanted cadence, so this was the way to go. It's much cheaper than the wireless and the battery lasts quite a bit longer. The only gripe, well, it's not wireless, as was driven home during the installation. otherwise, it works great. As expected. Just be warned, it doesn't come with a whole lot of tips for installation, but it does actually have a lot of parts & accessories to accommodate different frame types & geometries.
This is a very good computer with cadence (pedal speed). I recommend with wires, since the transfer is more accurate and minimum half the price of wireless. Since this is a simple computer, it should not be expensive, hence, go old school with wires. Clean occasionally underneath the computer when riding in wet conditions, and it lasts forever!
I've had one of these on my bike for around a year now and I couldn't recommend it enough. The cadence sensor is extremely useful for gauging your performance and assisting with rhythm.
The set up can be a bit fiddly, so you may want to stock up on a few extra cable tie. Once on the bike though, it's all plain sailing.
No problems with the battery.
Fits perfectly on the stem and is easily readable.
Does that it advertises.
Find that the clicking feels a tad sloppy when switching modes, however, very well built and typical high quality Cateye product.
