TRP HYRD Brakes

First of all i will you give you a list of all the items included with these brakes. TRP HYRD Hydraulic brakes, 160mm rotor ( 6 bolt pattern) is mount's and TRP Brake pads Very easy to install just follow the instructions. If that isn't clear check out youtube videos or TRP website, which is very extensive. I also replaced my original brake cables, due to the fact that with these brakes they were short. I didn't use the is mounts that where supplied because they wouldn't work. Instead i used the is mounts that were supplied with my original TRP mechanical brakes. My first impression of the brake wasn't great. But once the pads are bed in they really bite. The fact that the brake levers almost touch the bars is a little un nerving but the stopping power is really good. My previous brakes where the mechanical TRP which don't come close to the stopping power of these. And with the HYRD you have a lot better modulation. The reason I purchased these was because I wanted to upgrade my original TRP Spyre Mechanical brakes and couldn't justify the cost of hydraulic brakes. For the money I know that I made the right decision.

Trp hyrd brakes

When installing these purchase new inner cables. I had to because the originals ended up being a little short. These brakes come with is mount adapters that won't work on a giant anyroad. My original brakes were trip mechanical so I used the original spacers. The brakes come with is mounts, pads and 160mm rotors ( bolt pattern) Be warned that the brake lever travel is long, but when you pull on them the stopping power is really good. If you follow the installation steps then they are very simple to install
