Great BB for the price - on sale) - Review by Ailers

This is a great BB. Its easy to install and runs smooth. I haven't done any maintenance for over a year now and it is still running very smooth. Begs the questions, should I spend half a week salary on a ceramic BB? NO...

Really well made - Review by Duncan

Really well made and high quality bearings/races on this do make this a cut above the other Shimano BB's. For value/money proposition this one is hard to beat. Only failing is it comes in one colour!

Backwards compatible - Review by Whitney

The new SM-BB7900 is backwards compatible with the Dura-Ace 7800 crankset, as well as new & old versions of Ultegra, 105 & so on.

High build quality & long life span have made this a worry free & reliable part of my drive train. The seals are tight & have resisted the wear & corrosion of numerous rain storms & grimy rides. Although it will eventually wear out, it is unlikely to do so before I decide to upgrade my entire drive train in another four-years. The point is that under reasonable conditions (i.e. relatively few rain storms & not a lot of road salt from winter riding) a well built BB will run smoothly for ten to twenty thousand miles before it begins to drag.

I'm well on my way to 15,000 miles on this one, & have little doubt that I'll roll up to it smoothly.
