Quite simply the best Shimano groupset available. A fine mix of carbon fibre, titanium and benchmark technology.
Since 1973, Shimano’s Dura-Ace components have been at the forefront of pro racing and pro-level technology. Dura-Ace has continued its legacy of being proven in the peloton as well as serving as a launch pad for new technologies.
Created by definitive Shimano engineering and the latest technology, the new 7900 series Dura-Ace mechanical road group provides the ideal synergy of lightweight, durability and overall performance.
Key Features:
- Chainset - aerodynamic, stiff and lightweight (just 725g average weight with BB).
- Hollow outer chainring increases stiffness by a massive 20%.
- STI Shifters - lightweight uni-directional carbon levers, superior ergonomics and proven Shimano reliability.
- Brakeset - with a new durable shoe compound that produces 210% the stopping power in wet condition, 120% in dry conditions and 50% longer wear.
- Rear Derailleur - strong, sleek and innovative with carbon composite upgrades.
- Front Derailleur - continues to improve shifting efficiency by utilising a stiffer and solid wide link design and trimless technology.
- Chain - offers higher durability, silent pedaling, and reduced chain drop even under intense pressure.
- Cassette - featuring four titanium cogs, the new Dura-Ace cogset has further improved shifting quality.
- BB - HollowTech II has wider bearing placement and a larger axle diameter for increased stiffness and efficiency.
A groupset typically consists of 8 items - chainset, BB, shifters, brakeset, rear & front derailleur, cassette and chain. Please make sure you select all of these overleaf (an own brand cableset is included with all shifter sets).
Don't forget you can customise your groupset with items like Gore Ride-On cables or a Chris King BB by clicking 'CUSTOMIZE' above. Please note that with extras (hoods, cables and jockey wheels etc) these will require fitting and you will still receive the original equipment. With the Nokon cables you require 2 sets for a groupset (for brake and gear).
Please note: Model numbers from Shimano may change without notice. Groupsets may contain OE parts which won't be boxed. Please make sure you select the correct options on all of your components overleaf.

- fantastic group set, nice upgrades from 7800 - Review by Mathieu

I've been riding shimano DA 7900 for 2 years now and experience has been great. Brake levers have been redesigned for the best, shifting is as smooth as its reputation says it is and the durability of the components is good (I put in around 5000km per chain and still haven't touched the cassette after 15 000+ km).
