Not as solid feeling as the rest of the groupset... - Review by David

Compared to the rest of the Veloce groupset this is the part I would say these do feel like they are the start of the range. The mix of plastic and metal feels a bit cheap and the feel isn't as solid as it could be. Having said that generally they are easy to use and I like the down shifting as a button.

Great Deal - Review by SF

These levers are intelligently designed, having a quick release for your wheels and a curved shape allowing better stopping. There is also trims in the left lever for your fd.

Another thing is these are compatible with shimano 8s according to Sheldon Brown, I have tried this and they work perfectly with a 5603 group with a 8s cassette.
