VERY low durability. - Review by Altan

I am not a recreational rider by any means. I work on my bike and I ride it 40+ miles every day between my commute and my work. This cassette installs easily, shifts well, but wore down on me in about a month. 1000 miles total give or take. I have had SRAM cassettes that ran for 3 months or more. I like the price points on a lot of Shimano products, but this just didn't cut it for me.

Great for the price - Review by GLS

I always run Ultegra cassette's in my training wheels reserving Dura Ace for race wheels only. Ultegra cassettes represent great value as the weight and performance penalties are clearly worth it for the price.

Perfect for me. - Review by CARL

I really appreciate this cassette. I upgraded from 105 and I feel the difference. The price is very good compare to my bicycle store.
Great product.

A true workhorse - Review by ALEJANDRO

This cassette is very durable and super smooth when combine with a good chain. The 11-25 option is perfect for triathlon as it gives you a wide range to maintain your cadence on various terrains.

Great cassette, very strong and lasts well - Review by Cameron

I initially bought one of these cassettes to replace the standard 105/5700 cassette which came with my bike (on a recommendation of a friend, despite only doing 2000km's).

Coupled with a dura-ace 7801 chain (initial chain was a KMC), the running gear ran so much more smoothly. I did about 5000 km's on my first 6700 cassette, and after replacing it with another 6700 cassette, I was impressed with how well the first had lasted, and that it was still very smooth to shift and smooth in general riding.

Great price for a quality product.

not quite as durrable as I'd like - Review by Jason

This is a lovely cassette for a great price. The 11-28 is perfect if you live in a hilly part of the world. It's light, easy to maintain, and works pretty flawlessly. It definitely wore a bit faster than I imagined it would however. After a single hard season, the cassette was pretty shot, which surprised me a bit given that I maintained it quite carefully during the year.

Almost perfect - Review by Duncan

Great cassette. Close to the lightest, the Shimano hyperglide system still trumps all shifting. Make sure you purchase with a matching 7900 or 6700 chain for 100% performance. For the price this is so close to getting 5 stars from me.

Smooth and 11-28 is blessing on climbs - Review by Harold

I purchased the 11-28 to swap out from my Ultegra CS-6700 12-25. Coming from riding a Triple crank, my new bike is a double (53/39) so, having the extra gears on the cassette really helps going up the steep climbs. Shifting is just as smooth as on 12-25 and best of all, I didn't need to new chain.

Top bang for your buck - Review by code618

I'm running one of these in a 11-23 on my TT bike and it really is the best performance for dollar cassette I have come across. Sure you can go lighter but for a much higher price. The shifting is consistent, smooth and pretty quiet. I have also found this to be a bit more durable than the 7800 and 7900 Dura Ace cassettes. I would only go for the Dura Ace above this cassette if you are looking to save every last gram.

Excellent Cassette - Price and Performance - Review by Arizona Jim

I switched out my SRAM cassette for the Ultegra cassette and have had great results. The shifting is smooth and A LOT more quiet. I have since purchased two additional Ultegra cassettes for Crit racing and hill climbing.

great value, solid performer - Review by Jason

This is a lovely price for a solid cassette. I have to say, the life on these seems to be only one solid season, but that's about par for the course for many cassettes. While they are in good order, they are excellent, quiet, smooth shifting, and reliable.

Reliable Shimano Drivetrain component - Review by Christian

For me this is a great value, since you know you will only get so many miles out of a cassette. And this is a solid reliable piece of the Shimano drive train. I currently have an 11-23, and this is my first Ultegra cassette/chain - and I have had a variety of chain cassette combos Dura-Ace cassette w/ Dura-Ace - Sram red chain, Dura Ace chain w/ Sram 1070 cassette, the one thing I'm noticing and I'm not sure if this is an lever/derailleur adjustment issue, but there is a slight lag in down shifting under load, its a little slow and loud, just enough to lose some time and communicate your intentions to your rivals... but again not sure yet if this is can be attributed to the chain/cassette or a need for adjustment.
