Product Overview

When only the very best will do. This directional chain uses specific designs for the inner and outer plates to give the smoothest shift and best power transfer available. Hollow pins and a chrome treatment ensure this chain is both lightweight and long lasting.

Key Features:

  • Chain uses a directional design, inner and outer plates are shaped so as to optimise shifting and chain performance.
  • The outer plate has been designed to reduce the chance of chain suck.
  • The inner plate has been developed to provide better contact with the gears to make the chain quieter and stiffer under load.
  • Hollow link pins and perforated inner link plates for greater weight savings.
  • This chain is 10 speed compatible - 5.88mm chain width and optimised for Shimano HG systems.
  • A chrome treatment for link pins and heat treated rollers, pins and plates ensure long lasting performance.
  • A zinc-alloy finish helps prevent corrosion and keep your chain looking smart.
  • Weight: 252g (Manufacturer claimed).
  • This chain is optimised for use with Dura-Ace, but will work with all Shimano 10 speed drivetrains.
  • Please note this chain is directional and care should be taken when fitting to ensure it is on correctly.

Good chain - Review by Michael

The chain is quiet and the gear changes are very smooth with the 7900 Dura Ace group set. The chain normally last about 3500km to 4000km, but I always check it with the chain checker, as soon as it shows wear, I change it before it wears the cassette and cranks.

good shifting, light, more durable than expected, but pricy - Review by Mathieu

I'm a fairly light rider (135 lbs) and have a smooth shifting technique, and these chains have lasted me as long as my previous campy 10 speed chains, i.e. about 6000 km. A bit pricey, but in the same range of prices with the competition

Another great Shimano chain - Review by Duncan

Great chain, works best with 7900 cassettes (as in new Dura Ace 10 speed 7900 series). didn't believe it would work better than the 7801 until I swapped over! Wears well with the new Dura Ace cassettes but not as long lasting as its predecessor (7801)

Perfect - Review by Drew

It feels like it's lighter than others, especially noticeable when shifting as it seems to just float from one gear to the next
