quiet - Review by Jonathan

Like many people, my SRAM Red cassette was noisy. The KMC X10SL quieter it right done. Smooth shifts. Love it.

Quiet, seamless Shifting - Review by Michael

I was having some problems with my SRAM Force drive train, so I decided to replace my worn chain. After doing some research on other sites and blogs, I decided to try this KMC chain. Many of the reviewers on other cycling blogs are right - this chain significantly reduced the shifting noise many SRAM users will experience. You can still hear and feel that dependable shift, but the loud clunks have been muted to an almost silent thunk.

I am extremely satisfied with this chain so far, but cannot comment on how much it will wear down the cassettes or chainrings as another reviewer pointed out. Only time will tell...

Nice looking, durable...but.... - Review by Duncan

Nice chain, super light, looks bling but made from very hard blend of steel. Means that unless you keep your drivetrain clean (as in spotless) this bad boy will chew up your cassette in about half the time. Best to run this with a SRAM Red cassette (more steel = better compatible wear) but not with your Dura Ace or Campag Record Ti cassettes.

Not a fan of the quicklink either, but if you keep your chain clean this will work fine too

Pros to the harder steel does equal a super long lasting chain...but expect to wear the chain and cassette to the end of their shared life
