Great for emergencies - Review by Rider

I keep one of these in a saddle bag with a park tool ib-3 in case my chain breaks. It seems to be well made and does the job fine.

Handy! - Review by Thomas

Perfect way to take your chain apart. Also the perfect replacement for the Shimano HG equivalent link. Installed new Dura Ace HG chain only to find my drivetrain was making a regular creaking noise. Ultimately it was missing link, so replaced with the KMC version asap

Great way to make your chain whole again - Review by Corey

This missing link is a a great and simple way to join two ends of a chain together. It makes chain installation and removal (for those times when you really want to give your bike a thorough bath) easy as pie. I also carry one of these in my saddle bag just in case of emergency.

Well worth carrying, together with a chain tool - Review by Andy WRX

Saddlebag essential : I carry 2 or 3 pairs of these, plus a chain tool.
I was glad I did the day my chain snapped, then when I looked I realised that a couple of other plates were about to snap too - chain from a faulty batch.
I was able to cut-out the damaged sections with the chain tool, rejoin with these missing links, and ride home rather than having to walk...
When you change your chain, of course you get another pair - worth keeping the old ones as spares for the saddlebag....
Of course if you've just got a new bike, you'll either have to buy a spare chain or two and keep in the cupboard until you need to replace, or you can just buy the links as here...
