Product Overview

Adaptability is the key with this unique new frame.

The thinking man's fixed! The clever 'Swopout' replaceable drop outs mean that you can easily and quickly swap from vertical 130mm spacing to horizontal 120mm spacing for a track hub. This is not a twitchy, super tight angled, high BB track frame, it is designed to be totally usable and will take mudguards and a rack, a triple and derailleur or strip it right back and run it fixed.

Key Features:

  • The 7005 alloy, double butted frame has a classic look and beautiful smooth welds, the geometry is based around our ever popular Racelight T frame, but with detail changes including shorter rear stays, keeping the wheel tighter against the seat tube and quickening up the handling.
  • The front centre dimension is designed to accommodate mudguards without excessive toe overlap.
  • The Convert2 frameset builds up into the perfect all year commuter or winter trainer, and makes a great basis for a stripped down fixie with potential for 'guards and a rack.
  • Use short drop on the front if you are running a fixie with single brake, or short drop on both ends if you will be running the bike with the vertical Swopout and gears only.
  • Use long drop (47-57mm) if you are running two brakes on a fixie or SS, this gives enough adjustment for chain tensioning. Long drop also works best if you are intending to swap between gears and fixed (this also gives better clearance for 'guards).
  • 23mm are max tyre size if you want to run it with 'guards, but 28mm will go in there fine front and back, without 'guards.
  • Frame Material: Kinesis 7005 double butted alloy.
  • The 54cm frame weighs 1640g (Manufacturer claimed).
  • Seat Post Size: 27.2mm.
  • Front Derailleur Type: 31.8mm Clamp-on.
  • Headset Type: Integrated 1-1/8" 36/45 degree bearings.
  • Bottom Bracket Type: 68mm BSA.
  • Colour: Rich Red.
  • Included: Frame, DL25 alloy fork, Kuk alloy seat post, seat post clamp, headset, track and vertical Swopouts.
