This is a mixture of a matting of carbon threads and epoxy resin. Carbon fibre is strong and light and because the manufacturer can decide which direction the fibres go, it can be made stiff in one direction and springy in another.

Built to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification, this special edition C59 frameset is a thing of great beauty.

The C59 Italia is the result of a simple mission set by Ernesto Colnago: to build the ultimate road racing frame. Colnago's new top-of-the-range, custom-made 100% carbon-fibre racing machine, the C59 Italia, was four years in development. Designed, built and painted in Italy and with a frame weighing approximately one kilo, the C59 Italia features a classic Master-shaped internally ribbed top tube and down tube to maximise stiffness, which is further increased by square chainstays and seatstays.

I-beam vertical rib in down tube for increased stiffness.
Internal cable routing.
Colnago fully integrated headset system 1" 1/8 - 1"1/4 tapered.
EPS full carbon fork.

Seat tube diameter: 31.6mm.
Bottom Bracket: 68mm BSA (British).
Front Derailleur Type: Braze-on.
Includes: Frame, fork, headset.
Colour: White and Blue Italian (150th).
This Colnago frame carries a 2 Year warranty for manufacturing defects.
