This is a mixture of a matting of carbon threads and epoxy resin. Carbon fibre is strong and light and because the manufacturer can decide which direction the fibres go, it can be made stiff in one direction and springy in another.

As racy in geometry as the Saetta Sprint but constructed from different materials. A carbon monocoque with tubes designed to be stiff and resist the twisting forces gives an aggressive and direct ride.

Key Features:

Mid-range monocoque frame for the highly-evolved amateur.
Aggressively thinned top tube to counter flex forces.
Constant arc from the top tube through the seatstays gives smooth and consistent handling.
Material savings from top tube and seatstays are redistributed to the bottom bracket area and 'swollen' chainstays for maximum stiffness.
A shorter top tube compared with the Willin' gives a slightly more compact/racy cockpit.
Frame material: Full 30HM carbon fibre.
Fork: Saetta carbon with alu steerer, 1 1/8".
3K carbon weave rear triangle.
Seatpost: Cinelli Vai 31.6mm.
Bottom bracket: 68mm BSA.
Derailleur mount: Braze-on.
Weight: 1120g (Manufacturer claimed for the frame weight).
Cinelli framesets come with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defect.

Smooth charisma and spirited performance with plenty of upgrade potential - Review by Bikeradar

Spawned by pro rider Cino Cinelli in the immediate post-war period, Cinelli have always been among the most iconic and pioneering of Italian bike brands. The curvaceous Saetta proves that they're still among the best, even if its Sprint moniker is marred by wheel choice.

A noticeably sprung feel is the first obvious trait from the Columbus carbon fibre frame, thanks to the ‘progressive flexion control’ curve that forms a leaf spring effect through the top tube and wishbone seatstay. This doesn’t just smooth out road shock, it also creates a difficult to describe but plain to feel sensation of momentum surge between accelerations, like a slight tailwind/downhill.
