Omega Pharma Quick Step Cycling Team

Omega Pharma-Quick Step are now one of the most well-recognised teams in the Tour de France line-up. With big names like Mark Cavendish, Julian Alaphilippe and Tom Boonen, Omega Pharma-Quick Step have a solid line-up for the season and are ready to contend in the top few.

Started by Patrick Lefevere in the early 2000s, Omega Pharma-Quick step originally went by the name of 'Domo'. After some initial success, flooring company Quick Step jumped in to get their names on the jerseys and change the team name.

Not long after this, star rider Paolo Bettini went on to win the UCI Road World Cup two times consecutively. Currently, the Omega Pharma-Quick Step team are ranked at 8th in the UCI World Tour Team Ranking.

One of the defining qualities of the Omega Pharma-Quick Step team is their youth development process under the respected Bakala Academy institution. The Bakala Academy places a huge emphasis on training up young cyclists and riders from the start, aiming to secure a solid team for future years.
