Cannondale Pro Cycling Team are an Italian cycling team founded in 1999 under the name Liquigas. The team rode under this moniker until 2005 when it merged with Bianchi to become Team Liguigas-Bianchi. In 2011 Cannondale finally became the teams main sponsor. Much like every other team in professional cycling, Cannondale Pro Cycling Team have had their run-ins with doping and regulations breaches. Back in 2008, Manuel Beltran’s blood samples led to further investigations which showed traces of EPO use. As of 2014, Cannondale’s pro team look sharp and ready, with riders such as Peter Sagan, Ivan Basso and Alberto Bettiol in the line-up. Heading into the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana with a top team, I’m sure we will continue to see exciting things from Cannondale Pro Cycling Team.
