UVEX RACE 5
I did not know that before my purchase that this Uvex Race 5 Cycling Helmet has very good ventilation and is very light.
Light and airy
Bought this helmet to replace my 10-year old LAS Axial. The Uvex Race 5 feels lighter, with better rear visibility when turning your head around, and has good air circulation to keep mu head from over heating. The adjustment system works really nicely and allowed me to find the perfect fit. The chin strap closing mechanism allows one hand adjustments while riding, which is a nice touch. The only thing I would like to see improved is the little mesh insert: the front end of it was pressing on my forehead, so I had to remove it to be more comfortable. I always wear a bandana anyways, so the extra mosquito protection isn't worth the slight discomfort the mesh introduced. Not related to the helmet per se but to the way Probikekit shipped it to Canada: the helmet original box was simply slipped in a plastic bag; when it arrived, the cardboard box was caved in, but the helmet seemed untouched, so I didn't make a fuss, but it would have been nice to double box this. Very happy with the Race 5 helmet though!
