Almost
It is a warm hat, where it covers. I bought a l/xl with the hope or expectation it would cover my ears, not even close! (and I don't have a particularly big head) it does seem pretty waterproof so far but that is probably due to the strange, crinkly, plastic layer in between the outer knit and inner fleece layers. A little thick to wear under my normal helmet. It does seem to breath OK but maybe that is just because my ears and neck are so cold I don't mind the top of my head being warm?! So, it is a decent hat for damp, chilly days but I am disappointed since I bought it for cold, wet days
Warm And Good Quality
i just got this hat yesterday and used it on this morning ride, I feel really warm on 7 degree Celcius.
The quality of this hat is really good. For the size I used S/M so still can fit in to the helmet(my helmet size L/XL).

I bought small-medium and I dont have a small head, but the small size is pretty big..
waterproof but warm
This hat is very effective in cold, wet conditions but you may overheat if the temperature is higher than 5 deg. C. It works great as a winter commuter hat. I bought the L/XL so it fits over my ears.
