Let’s keep it simple... 1. They are warm 2. They are comfortable and do not restrict movement 3. They also fold easily into a jersey pocket I have worn these as another layer underneath my winter tights and quickly forgot they were there. As expected they added another layer and increased warmth. I have not used them on their own, but, I can say that I have Assos knee warmers and they are great. These leg warmers obviously cover a larger area than knee warmers, both in the shin and further up the thigh area, they are also double layered at the knee. I have no doubt they will provide even greater warmth than I am used to. Oh, I have other legwarmers by another company with both elastic and ‘grippers’ on them to keep them up, let’s just say I find them annoying. Assos use the elasticity of your shorts or tights to keep them up as there are NO grippers. I have had no problems with them and do not expect any. I’m six foot tall and ordered the L / XL size and they fit great.
