What Data Do We Collect?

As with all online retailers, in order to deliver a high quality service it is essential that we collect and store certain information about you. We use your information to process your orders, inform you of any delays or problems and to send you news, special offers and promotions. The information we collect is:

We will normally contact you by email, including when we confirm your order, its dispatch and any news and marketing material. We generally won't need to call you by phone, and will only do this if there is an issue with an order or purchase, there are queries on your account or you have asked us to contact you. We may send you certain marketing material by text to your mobile phone. As well as using your delivery address to ship the goods, we may also send news and marketing materials by post. We collect credit or debit card details when you place an order, and will use these to collect payment, following security checks, only with your authority.

We only send you news items and marketing material with your consent. If you have been receiving such material, but do not wish to continue, or haven't been receiving it but wish to, you can change your newsletter preferences or change your post and SMS preferences. Alternatively at the bottom of every PBK email there is an unsubscribe link, click this and you will no longer receive email marketing messages from us. You can check and/or change the information that we hold about you by visiting your account. If you contact us, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your personal profile or making data changes, in order to protect access to your information.

How Secure Is My Personal Information?

Our Websites and supporting infrastructure have been designed to deliver market leading data security, to ensure our customers can have the highest levels of confidence when using our Websites or buying goods from us. We constantly review emerging security technologies and threats to keep abreast of new trends and issues and strive to maintain our market leading position.

All sensitive information (such as credit-card numbers) is only transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which means that you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection. All sensitive information is stored in an encrypted format behind firewalls.

We use SagePay a third-party secure global payment specialist to process our debit and credit card transactions. SagePay process millions of secure paymentseach month for over 30,000 businesses encrypting all transaction details to the highest global standards. ProBikeKit does not record or store any card payment details outside of SagePay's secure systems.

We only accept credit or debit card payments that have been authenticatedusing 3-D Secure (where the card issuer is part of the 3-D Secure scheme). This scheme links directly to your bank and provides you with superior protection and peace of mind against credit or debit card fraud. We strongly recommend that if your card issuer is part of the MasterCard™ SecureCode™ or Verified ByVisa™ schemes that you register your card for online shopping.

Our Websites are certified by industry-leading security specialists McAfee,who carry out daily security scans. McAfee SECURE™ tests for possible personal information access, links to dangerous sites, phishing, and other online dangers. McAfee is the largest dedicated security company in the world helping protect over 80,000 websites from identity theft, credit card fraud, spam and malicious software.

How Do We Use Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites send to your computer to identify your computer to a website when you return. This lets the site bring up information relevant to you.
