The Zone3 Advance wetsuit was trialled during 2012 before its official launch in 2013. The feedback from swimmers and triathletes was fantastic and many regarded the Advance wetsuit as the first performance wetsuit available at under £150. Following a review, Tri247.com even went as far as saying that the shoulder flexibility was as good as a top of the range wetsuit from a different brand.
The suit offers the key ingredients which make the Zone3 wetsuits so highly rated but slight changes to the materials and thickness of the suit enables the price to be kept as low as possible. The Advance wetsuits offer a fantastic specification including:
- Great flexibility around the shoulders and arms for comfortable and energy efficient swimming.
- Core support buoyancy panels to maintain streamlined swimming and save energy.
- The use of 'SpeedFlo' fabric on 70% of the wetsuit to minimize any drag through the water, increase speed and improve durability. The remaining 30% made from high quality rubberised smoothskin neoprene.
- Zone3's trademark Silicone coated ‘Pro-Speed Cuffs’ on the lower legs to help increase speed of removal.

- High quality YKK downwards zipper making the suit easy to take on and off.
- The thickness is 2mm around the shoulders and under arms, 3mm on the chest and upper back, 4mm on the torso, legs and side panels.

the right wetsuit for swimming
Introduction: I never swam in the sea during the winter but only in the summer. I'm not a thriatletes but only a swimmer. This fall I have decided to continue to swim (I live on the Southern Adriatic Sea) and I bought a medium -large Zone3 wetsuit, after reading a lot of reviews. Well, I have to say it's another way to swim: the buoyancy is extraordinary and the speed is much more than without it. Really, It's a second skin with great flexibility. The sea temperature is around 14 C° in this period; well, with Advance wetsuit, I don't shiver at all. Summary, a great wetsuit for who desires only to swim.
First Timer
I've worn and bough different wetsuits in the past; for canoeing, surfing, windsurfing and diving and I've even hand made my own but this suit was the first one I've tried specifically designed for swimming and all I can say is that it is excellent in everyday; for fit for pliability, and movement and buoyancy it is a great buy. I did a lot of research before I made a purchase as this is my first swimming wetsuit and I originally wanted to buy the zone3 Vision but couldn't find it in my size so opted for the Advance as I am glad I did. Easy to fit and to take-off and doesn't restrict either my stroke or head movement in the water. Class.
