Looks and function!
I have loved the look of this saddle since I first saw it come on the scene. I am happy to report that if this saddle fits your riding style and hips you will make it your go to saddle.
The sweet spot on this saddle is flat and comfortable. If you like to adjust your position as your environment changes, the Arione makes transitioning from front to back smooth and easy.
If you have numbness issues this saddle is flat with no cut-out. You may find it aggravates your situation.
Overall Arione CX is a well built lightweight affordable saddle that looks great!
Comfortable
Saddle choice is an intensely personal selection. For me the Arione CX is a great choice. I like the narrow shape, flat top and moderately firm foam. The padding on the nose is minimum and as such not especially comfortable for more than brief moments. However, in the sweet spot I enjoy hours of comfortable cycling.
The materials are durable and relatively tough. The cover will scuff if brushed firmly against a hard, rough surface, but with normal use it will last for a long time. The foam does soften over time too, but for me it just makes it more comfortable with age.
If you like a slim, flat perch the Arione is worth a try. For anybody looking for a larger platform the Arione is likely a poor choice.
