good alternative to Campag and no need for specialist tools
I switched to KMC chains when my last Campag chorus chain needed to be removed and refitted. I did not want to spend £5 on a replacement pin, only to have to buy another chain a few months later and these were on offer.
I have been very pleased with the switch. After 1500 miles so far there is no sign of stretch or wear, and the drivetrain is nice and quiet. The missing link is an absolute doddle to fit, and far less likely to be damaged on instillation than a campag chain using the pin system.
My only negative comment is that the missing link cannot be re-used on the 11 speed version (due to narrower gauge) so you cannot break this chain to clean it. It is easy to carry a spare link though in case of emergencies on the road.
