Great replacement for an old suspenision fork bike

Ok its not carbon but at just over700 grams from memory this fork was a great option for converting an old 2006/07 scott p2 sportster mountain bike into an excellent tourer for a family member that always kept the suspension fork locked out. Removed the old suspension fork and replaced with this kinesis crosslight 3. Didn't fit with disc brakes at this stage but it has brake boses for rim brakes so very versatile Provides enough give to make for a comfortable ride without lateral flex. Had enough axle to crown height (405mm) to compensate for the suspension travel loss. Turned the mountain bike into a nice robust flat bar touring bike without any fork geometery steering problems. Also being used with a front rack mount without any issues Bike was fitted with new shorter (170mm) cranks and 35c sized tyres to help with ground clearance. Perhaps to much flex for the ultra hard core cyclocross rider ????? Don't know. Works great for taming an older mountain bike for more civil duties. Also good if you don't use suspension and want to save some weight. Good also if you've damaged the fork on your bike and need a replacement. Been on the Scott now for about 6 months and done about 2500 kms and going great
