Knog Shink rear Light

This product is great when you can get it to turn off. I am having issues turning it off, the power button seems to be the issue. When it works the light is great with a good range of flashing modes.

very poor.

Lasted one wet day and wouldn't turn on, after turning itself off. Bit of a pain installing batteries too. Poor, poor quality.

gets it done

my second Knog light. I love how easy it goes on and off. I do use it rain or shine and have not had any problems. works as well or better than others in it's price range, but gets a big plus due to the easy on and off I mentioned earlier. I bought the pink, because I am brave enough!

knog lights

This is great I would get it again. Worth the money and it is quality! the 4 LED lights are good for visibility

Too easy for water to destroy

I got this one (Skink), a Gekko and a Boomer. The Gekko was exposed to water with the bare circuits and batteries so ready to get wrecked by the slightest moisture form front or sides. This one, Skink, was somewhat better, but still virtually un-protected against water. The Boomer is virtually water-proof, in fact there is a video online with a guy showing the Boomer running underwater. The Skink had a bit whiter light it seemed than the Boomer and claims a much longer run-time, but it was not as bright in a side by side comparison and is bigger to boot. I would not get the Skink. Get the boomer. If you never will see water, then this might be OK, but I can't rate it higher than 3 stars or less.

Great visibility

This rear Knog light provides great rear visibility for its size. I'm very happy with this Knog product.

Too susceptible to water ingress

One ride in the rain and water got into the contacts and shorted them out...for a well made light it has a fatal flaw - the button has to face upward and therefore needs to be more waterproof. Redesign of the silicon cover seems the logical choice here

Replaced by the new strobes?

Good light and variance of modes. Not as bright as the newer Knog strobes, but the money is in the extra modes and AAA battery use (which will be cheaper to replace)
