Limited lumens

These are great in concept, less so in execution. The plastic used for the threads is very soft, so it's really easy to overtighten one rotation too many. The lights are easily washed out entirely from city lights, and the turn signal lights are so dim as to be useless except on a quiet country road. I'd expect them to be completely missed by a driver with his headlights on. I'd recommend against these until a rechargable battery and a more rugged material are used.

Cool little things

Very nice indeed - work well as stand alone lights, but great really as extra lighting to front and rear lights. Very cool, but need to take them out if locking the bike up so they don't get nicked, which is a little fiddly.

There are better options

For
- they are compact and light weight.
- they have front and rear illumination.
- they don't take up bar space.
- they take 1 AAA battery.
- they give you width in the dark.

Against
- one fell out and was lost on the 2nd ride.
- they provide only limited illumination.
- they are little bit flimsy.
- don't look as cool as they could.

Verdict,
- there are other bar end options out there.

Awesome Please Don't Pass on These Light

These handlebar lights featuring turn signals are outstanding. Their very easy to install and work well First remove your existing ends, next insert the hollow chambers in to the handle bars. You may have to give it a light twist and push in gently. There is a hex screw inside of the chamber that you will need to tighten. Take the helix key and tighten clock wise. Do not over tighten, and remember there will be two extra very small black around rubber washers. Those are extra's if and when the other ones wear or if you loose one You also can find them at any hardware store also. Just save one to match up to one. Finally, insert the battery into it's chamber and then into the handlebars. Turn clock wise until your lights hanging at the bottom. Do not turn to tight you don't want to mess up your threads on the lights. These lights are not meant to light your path but are bright. Do not look directly into the light for damage to your eyes could possibly happen if for a long period of time. I am not sure if they are water proof but they appear to be very well made. Their light and really nice. Drivers, and kids will look in a little shock asking where can they get these lights. The delivery was a little long but it was worth the wait.

Please Don't Pass This Great item Up!

I ordered this item for my bike and it's outstanding. It was east to install. I have an 18 speed racer that is over 16 years old an they fit my handlebars perfectly. When installing please use the Hex Key. Remove your ends then push the hollow chamber in. Next, take the Hex key and line it up with the nut on the inside of the hollow chamber. Turn clock wise until you feel a tight fit. Please do not over tighten. Next insert the battery in the cartridge, and then insert that in to the hollow chamber. Turn that also clock wise as well until tight but not to tighten. If you hear a click sound that means you have over tightened so do one counter clock wise turn and you should be fine. The lights, are bright but they are not for lighting the path in front of you. It adds a very nice look to your bike mostly. To use the turn signal just push left or right and it will flash the front and rear light for 10 seconds. Remember to take the batteries out if you are not riding you bike over a period of time. Also never use rechargeable batteries. I personally will recommend this item to all my friends, family, and other cyclist that I see. These lights are not meant for mountain bikes but there are lights out there for those as well.

A lot better light system than you might think

Ok so these lights seem a little gimmicky! indicator lights? I received my lights today and installed them. The front lights on each bar end provide ample light to draw attention to cars that a cyclist is approaching. It is perfect for city riding at night where there is street lighting but definitely don't recommend these where there is no street lighting. Rear lights are good too. Pretty good value and once they are installed you hardly know they are there. Get rechargeable batteries and these are a good investment.

Zaki

They are really nice lights, they act only as a security light where motorists can see you in dark. They are not very good in lightning the road in front of you.

I like them a lot and everyone gives a compliments once seen.

Amazing...but the fit?

I bought these lights to be seen more on the road and give me some light at night!
The lights are amazing, so bright for the price and the indicator is really cool!
However, I haven't got to try them on the road!
The fitting doesn't fit in my handlebar! It has to have an internal diameter of 20/21mm! I tried everything to make my 19mm diameter bigger, but ended up getting one fitting stuck and breaking it into a million pieces trying to get it out!
I recommend these, just wish I could use them!
