a disappointment
Bad beam pattern lets this light down. Lots of light but not a particularly effective beam for riding. Beautifully made but quite heavy, with that weight going into lots of light to dazzle oncoming bikes without really providing all the illumination needed for safe fast night riding. Better to have a small handlebar light and a tight spot-light on your helmet, something focussed enough you can look away from oncoming riders (and cars) and avoid dazzling them (unless they deserve it). Last and worst, it needs its own charger. These days, with all the devices looking to be recharged, anything that doesn't just accept 5 volts from a mini or micro USB plug is a bloody nuisance.
