16 months, true, fast, solid

I got these in 12/17, been using them as a training/racing wheel. Never had carbon wheels before. I was going back and forth on these wheels since I like hilly road races. I didn't have the $ for something lighter, so I went with these. I've probably put 4k miles on them and they are still true, aluminum brake track makes it easier to stop. I noticed the most difference out on the flats. I ride on a flat river bike path and noticed a 1-1.5mph difference right away. Anything over 20mph and the difference to aluminum wheels becomes apparent. To be honest I still set PR's on several off my local climbs when having these on. So unless you ride a lot of hills/mountains that avg >6%, the value of these has been enough for me.

Spot on

The wheels are just what I needed they look good and they spin well , and the biggest bonus no lloss in Braking due to thr alloy rims.

Solid wheels and good value

I have always bought bikes with good spec wheels on them and never felt the need to upgrade, due to some hub issues on my current wheels I went looking on a budget and decided upon the red winds. They are a bit heavier than I am used to but having put 500-600kms on them in the first couple weeks I am impressed with the wheels so far. While they are a bit heavier its not enough to notice and the wheels are still really responsive and very solid. They handle flat roads as you expect they would and maintain speed well, The hills I have tackled so far while not the Pyrenees have showed the wheels to be capable and a good all round option. Fulcrum make good gear and these wheels are no exception.

Great wheels, service and price

Having broken a couple of spokes and buckled another set of carbon/ alloy wheels, I was looking for something with a 'name behind it at a reasonable price. Enter this wheelset (albeit on sale at the time). I have had a set of entry level Fulcrum wheels before and was very impressed by them. I've only done one ride with them so far, but they haven't disappointed. Run beautifully well, bearings are silky smooth and an excellent barking surface. They are on a couple of hundred grams heavier than my non-aero wheels and make up for that with the profile and the way they help maintain speed on the flat. They seem very sturdy and the extra weight is negligible, even on a climb. In summary, very impressed and totally recommended!

Exceptional wheels

For over a year I researched everything I could to determine which carbon wheelset I wanted to purchase. With so many options now available it was not an easy decision. My criteria included price, weight, design, manufacturer and look. My current bike is a Lapierre .9 Pro with a naked carbon finish. I wanted something to match so I decided on the Fulcrum redwind50 and I am NOT disappointed! Not only do they look incredible but the finish, craftsmanship and overall ride are exceptional! I have been riding them for over a month and can report the following: increased my speed on average over 1.5 mph, very smooth especially paired with Conti 4000s 25 mm tires, can climb and accelerate as well as my Ksyrium SLE's and the braking surface is extremely smooth. I highly recommend this wheelset because you are getting a lot for the price.

Purchase

Great purchase. I will order more items from probikekit in the future.

Unbelieveable deal!

I purchased these at one heck of a sale price. They have the fantastically quiet Fulcrum rear freewheel, and roll as smooth as you'd like. I have these on a winter bike (think rain) so the aluminum braking surface was a real plus. Now I have a set of fast aero wheels with solid braking in wet and gritty conditions. I've owned Fulcrum wheels before and they have very high standards - these are no exception! I am also a heavier rider (200 lbs) and the wheels are very stiff - no rear wheel flex when climbing in the standing position which is very important to me.

Great set of Wheels!

I've been riding the Fulcrum Red Wind H.50 wheelset for the past month and I have to say that they are an excellent set of bike wheels. Even with their standard bearings, they are very smooth running wheels. The combination of the carbon aero profile and the aluminum brake track make them practical to use with existing brake pads. The wide profile design make these wheels very aerodynamic and although I don't have any way to quantify how much they save me in the way of effort, on long rides they do seem to make a noticeable difference. One thing that I really liked is the fact that the wheels actually came with valve stem extenders which is important for the wide profile wheels. Overall, these are great set of wheels and they look really good on the bike!
