Campagnolo Bullet wheels offer all the benefits of a carbon wheelset, with all the braking performance of an alloy rim. While the 50mm carbon fairing enhances aerodynamics, wheel stiffness, and durability, the alloy rim boasts an improvement in durability and wet weather braking. Despite all this performance, a Campagnolo Bullet wheelset weighs just 1755 grams, and still promises an incredibly responsive ride feel.

Fittingly, these innovative rims are combined with a set of lightweight, high flange alloy hubs that contain a cup-and-cone bearing system to ensure an incredibly smooth spin that lasts. To maximize torsional stiffness, these hubs are laced to the rim via the G3 spoke pattern, which use twice as many spokes on the drive side. Like many Campagnolo wheelsets, the Bullets are laced by hand in Italy and checked by electronic instrumentation, thereby guaranteeing lasting performance and long-term reliability.

Great Set of Wheels

I have been riding Campy wheels forever and love them. I had a new Colnago on order and I was planning on using a set of my existing Campy Zonda wheels, as they are great wheels for the price, and came across the Bullet 50's on this website. Now, I didn't need a new set of wheels and I don't need deep dish wheels, but they look really cool and I had already paid too much for a custom-painted C64, so why not go all in? :-) These are great looking wheels and, like all of the Campy wheels that I've ridden, are rock solid and the hubs are as smooth as expected. I'm about 180 lbs. and there is zero flex during hard cornering so I can descend at speed with confidence. I'm old school and run 23 mm tires at 140 psi. As with all deep dish wheels, pay attention in high cross winds. I have not yet ridden Campy's Ultra hubs so I don't know if it's worth the extra money to get the Bullet 50 Ultra's, but I have had great luck with all Campy hubs so you can't go wrong with these wheels. There are lighter 50 mm rims out there, but they typically cost double so the Bullet's fit in my budget. I also prefer the aluminum braking surface so that I can use standard brake pads and interchange with my existing wheels as needed.

Superb value

These wheels are great. No noticeable effect in heavy crosswinds vs my previous 28mm wheels but dramatic increase in speed. Road feel is terrific; in fact I was expecting them to be a little over-responsive or harder to handle but they are just right. And I love the rear wheel spoke threading! These are a superb value for the price and highly recommended.

Bullet vs shamal

I own both the Shamal and now the bullet The shamal I put on 19 k miles and there absolutely amazing wheels. I love the new bullet wheels I feel that there much better cutting through winds . I have climbed only a few times with them and they seem great. The only down side is crosswinds you have to be very aware and not tighten up. I love the sound and the braking surface. I believe there hubs are a bit smoother than the shamals but again I love both Bullets are in my opinion the most affordable carbon wheels on the market and very very strong

Campagnolo bullet 50 wheelset

Just love it.. very happy with my rims, road excelent.

Campy "Bullet" - is just that!

This wheel handles excellent on all terrains that I've tested it on. Hit some PR's both while riding with the Peloton in Prospect Park (for speed) - Brooklyn as well as long days of climbing in the Catskill Mountains. Some of the reviews that I read online were skeptical about climbing. I have found the opposite true. My other wheelset is the Mavic Cosmic Carbon. The ones with the metal rim similar to these Campy's. I actually prefer the Campy's. I can't say for sure yet about how they will handle in the heavy wind. I did have some wind and noticed absolutely no instability. The wheels do like nice as well. The graphics are merely stickers. If you do not like them, they come off. In my opinion, you cant get better for the money and these are definitely a buy.

Campagnolo Bullet

Solid Wheels for the price. I also own Fulcrum Zero wheels with USB hubs and these roll just as good. Not a fan of the Bullet logo so i removed it as it's a sticker. They look way better with just the Campagnolo logo. Overall a great rim for the price and look great on my Noah Ridley with 25mm Conti's Probikekit deliver time to Los Angeles wasn't too bad. They are a solid online store.

Excellent product per the $

- Installation was easy - the sound it produce is like music - the bearing are excellent - and the comfort is a no brainer

Think you're pretty smart eh? Think you can out smart a bullet?

I haven't really owned these long enough to unequivocally provide rave reviews but I am prepared to give these 5-stars thus far on the basis that they seem pretty durable and whilst I've not noticed a dramatic increase in overall average speed, they do seem to add something to the top end once you've got them rolling (maybe the bearings still need time to be properly run-in?). That, however, is my minor quibble i.e. they seem a little sluggish of the mark, however, I've found that when you put the pedal to the metal they do seem to be extremely willing - which provides for exciting riding. I'm still a little undecided in windy conditions (of which it feels I have all but pretty much exclusively experienced thus far!!!). It seems to vary from ride to ride - obviously due to differences in the direction of the prevailing wind. I wouldn't say that I've experienced a lack of compliance and the handling is significantly more difficult than with a lower profile wheel. Far from it in fact, however, I am not exactly a featherlight racing snake, hence, I'm probably not as vulnerable to the perils of being blown into a hedgerow. I can't decide if there is a greater amount of drag though. That said, through all this indecision and whilst sometimes I don't feel as though my performance has been enhanced, my Strava numbers do seem to have improved!! I guess the facts and figures don't lie, hence, the 5-star review overall.
