The Zipp 404 Firecrest Clincher is incredibly versatile. The 58mm rim depth is a classic, versatile wheel that can be used for any type of event, including triathlons, criteriums, field sprints, breakaways and Grand Tour mountain stages.

404 is Zipp's first full-carbon clincher wheelset, with two years of development to create the revolutionary rim shape and carbon technology. It's the first deep-profile carbon clincher design that offers superior aerodynamic, strength, handling and ride quality of a wider rim body. Weighing just 1,525g per set, it's the lightest deep-profile carbon clincher available.

Made to handle the differences in airflow patterns between clincher tyres and tubulars, the 404 Firecrest Carbon Clincher surpasses the aero performance of any other clincher wheelset in the same category. The wider rim offers improved vertical compliance for increased control and comfort on rough surfaces, along with lateral stiffness for sprints and cornering. Its hook beads are further apart for a more stable shape without rolling resistance.

Every Zipp full-carbon Clincher features an exclusive heat-resistant resin to stop spikes in rim temperature and tyre pressure, which can have an impact on performance and handling.
