The Michelin Pro 4 Endurance Clincher Tyre is designed for riders that demand endurance and mileage. Enhancing the speed, safety and agility, the Pro 5 Endurance tyre also reduces the rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, the Pro 3 Race. The Pro 4 Race Endurance provides high performance and wear resistance to go the distance. - A.D.

The Michelin Pro 4 Endurance is great for training rides or for the recreational cyclist. This tire replaced the Krylion model Michelins that I used successfully for many years. The Pro 4 Endurance continues with the mileage and puncture resistance of the Krylion, but the Pro4 has a better, more lively road feel.

These tires work well in the Pacific Northwest, especially where road conditions change throughout a ride.

I have been riding Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tires through all three name changes. I like the fact that they last as long as they do. I was tired of spending the money I was spending just to see the tire wear out after 1000 miles. The tires ride nice, perform great, and last a long time. I couldn't ask for more. I would and do recommend these tires to friends.

I've been using the Pro4 Endurance since they came out, first in 700x23 and now in 700x25; prior to that I had been using Krylions. I had been looking for a tire that I could use in training on roads that varied from poor to excellent and that could also function as race tires. After a good bit of research, including among fellow racers, I settled on these and have had good luck with them. They wear well (2500-3000 miles on the rear), ride comfortably, stick fine in tight corners in crits, and flats are few and far between. I'm confident enough in these tires that I'm using them in a 106 mile road race which includes about 20 miles of gravel and even more of bad roads.

What a great purchase! I have read online that these replaced the Michelin Krylion Carbon clinchers (which I have a lot of experience with), and I can say that these are excellent. Michelin has managed to keep all the hard-wearing puncture resistance of the krylion, and improved the suppleness of the casing. It rolls much smoother, grips harder, and makes riding a lot more comfortable. For the price, this has got to be way up on the list for those looking for performance and durability.

I purchased these tires after reading an article citing how good these tires perform and offer puncture protection. I ride Vredestein Fortezza Tri Comps and they perform very well. A negative on Vredestein is they do not last long 1,500- 2,000 miles my experience. I am an avid club cyclist, aggressive weighing 180-185 lbs. (season dependent). Riding a little over 5,000 miles a year.
I have approximately 100 miles on the Pro 4 Endurance tires. A real test occurred on last ride. Here in Pennsylvania this winter has produced horrible potholes. I hit a hole about 18"" in circunfrence approximately 4-6" deep. (Car passing left me no option other than ride through pothole) I was expecting flats if not worse a bent rim. Neither occurred. I like to inflate tires to max to avoid rim problems hitting such obstacles.
There is a different feel than my Vredesteins. I pump my Vredesteins to 135 psi and they seem to ride smoother than 110-115 psi on the Michelins. It is not objectionable, just a different feel. The Michelins do roll nicely and if I get more wear and fewer flats I will be a very happy cyclist. They are nice looking tires.
For years Michelin Krylions were my tire of choice; then Michelin revamped its line and the Krylions disappeared from view. I switched to the Pro Optimum for its wear qualities, but when I learned that the Pro4 Endurance were the Krylions reincarnated, I decided to look for some online. As usual, Probikekit
had them, in the 25mm size I like, and at an unbeatable price. My bike and I are happy again!

I have tried Conti Gatorskins, Specialized Armadillo, and Michelin Krylion, which was the predecessor to the Pro Race 4 Endurance. The Gatorskins don't seem to have the puncture resistance of the Michelins. The Armadillos are heavy with a harsh ride. The Pro 4 Endurance are reasonably light, have a smooth ride and are remarkably puncture resistant. Comparing prices at local bike shops, the Michelins are also less expensive. Two friends that had Pro 4 Race tires had a lot of flats until they switched to Pro 4 Endurance tires. Friends with Pro 4 Service Course faired better than those with Pro 4 Race tires. Six people in our local bike club that use either the Krylions or the Endurance tires love them. I fix a lot of flats, mostly on friends bikes with Conti Gatorskins, but not on my bike with Pro 4 Endurance tires. I get about 3000 miles on the rear tire and 4000 or more on the front tire. I do recommend the Michelin Pro 4 Endurance to all my friends and relatives.

I'm new at biking but this was my first big purchase for my bike. I'm a little bit heavier than your normal biker types so the wider 25's and lower psi pressure is much easier on me than the 23's I previously had. I am enjoying these tires quite a bit and like how they handle the road imperfections. I highly recommend these tires for beginners and for the heavier build biker.

This is the 2nd set of the Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tires I have had on my road bike. These tires are a great buy. They hold the road well and wear REALLY GOOD. I just purchased new carbon wheels and have ordered a 3rd set of these tires....can't say enough good things about them.
Excellent durable puncture resistant tire.

I picked these up to mate with my Boyd Vitesse clinchers, and they made an amazing difference in the overall quality of my ride. I chose to go the 700x25, and I am getting better handling and road feel than I ever had with my previous tyres.
While the concept of "rolling resistance" is harder to quantify, it does seem like harder efforts are just a little bit easier with these as well.

Pros: Smooth handling
Cons: Hard to mount, bead developed a weak spot during second ride.
I loved this tire until my second ride with it. During this second ride my front wheel began to feel like it was out of round. I made it the 13 miles home without a problem. Took the wheel in and had it trued.
The next day at mile 15 it began to feel out of round again; soon after it punctured. Our group stopped as I changed the tube. The next tube wouldn't seat all the way inside the bead. One of my friends tried, with the same result. Luckily I was only a few miles from home and my wife could pick me up.
You can see the weak spot in the bead of the tire .It lines up perfectly with the patch I put on the tube..
It will be along time before I trust Michelin's again.
I am going back to using Vittoria Rubino Pro's again..
