Tough technology that can withstand all conditions.
With the Grand Prix 4 Season's DuraSkin™ anti-tear fabric, this tyre is as hard as nails. Featuring in the hellish Paris - Roubaix race, it was later found that riders who had been using this tyre with DuraSkin™ actually suffered less punctures and other tyre related incidents.
The 'carbon compound' featured on the Grand Prix 4 Season, means that it is a extremely wear-resistant tyre, showing minimal signs of damage after many long rides. A double Vectran® Breaker belt under the tread raises the puncture and cut protection to the highest level available on the market. Available in 23mm, 25mm and 28mm versions, the Grand Prix 4-Season is a customisable choice for all types of riders. - T.H
"The Continental GP 4-Season is the standard: full score in all categories! The tyre is lightweight and rolls well. It achieved by far the best result in offering fantastic grip and puncture protection, even in the wet and cold. Not just the top winter tyre." The test results from Road Bike Magazine

This tire has all of the puncture resistance of the Gatorskin, but handles much better on wet roads. Excellent for training. Too much rolling resistance for racing, though.
Everything came as described and in a reasonable amount of time. I am very pleased with the tires and am happy I bought them from pro bike kit. I saw the same tires in my LBS for almost double the price.
These are my favorite tires. They grip the road well in all conditions, plus I'm much less prone to flats. After having new success with the 4Season tire, I tried another brand and noticed an increase in the number of flats. I switched back to the 4season and don't plan on changing anytime soon.
Hi, I wanted a winter tyre as I live in Canberra Australia. It get down to -5 in the morning. So far it has been great.
Awesome tires at good price from Probikekit!
I have used the GP 4000S tire for years but wanted something a little more durable with better traction in the rain. The tread wraps up around the center of the tread and makes the ride a little less smooth. However the tire seems more grippy on the fine sand and dirt we have on the roads here in the desert. I will have to wait for the monsoon to start to see abut the wet weather traction. After 1200 miles wear seems minimal. I use the 25 mm size at 95 psi and the ride is very comfortable. All in all, I think this is a good all around tire, maybe not great at any one thing, but pretty darn good at everything.
I have ridden this model of conti tire for more than 10 years and put 1000,s of miles on each one. Great for the roads in my area.
Not a good tire blowout at 300 miles
Tire worked well in Shimano and Campy Zonda wheels. Bought the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season 28mm tire and had no problems fitting. The Campy wheel was a little more difficult to install. Tires ride well and are confidence inspiring. They measure 27mm wide at 105psi on the Campy wheel. This is my tire of choice and Probikekit has the best price. Shipping to the USA was no problem.
I have Conti Grand Prix 4000s and Grand Prix 4000sII on two of my road bikes I have hour thousands of miles on each flat-free. When my 13 year old son needed new tires for his road bike, I wanted tires with similar resilience so that he can ride worry-free when out on his own. So far he has only put a couple hundred miles on his 4- season tires and I expect them to last him as well as my other Conti tires have lasted me. I would recommend all of the tires above. Ultimately I went with the 4-season for my son because of the value that I found for a pair with a pair of free tubes thrown in. I wanted to get 25mm for him but only found 23mm at this price but we can live with that. According to some the 4-season tires offer even more protection so I fully expect these to last a very long time.
Got 3 flats within the first 30 minutes of taking these out on their first Maiden voyage. 2 on the rear, one in the front. I gave up after that. Bad luck or bad tires? Not sure. I guess I won't know until I road test them again. I don't think I've had 3 flats in the past 18 months combined riding 2 different road bikes with lower cost tires. This may have been a freak day and I may update review later but right now Im really frustrated.
I use this tyre exclusively for our tandem. Buy these in the folding tire, if you have the extra money. These will give you the ultimate in performance, and increased ride quality or comfort. This tyre is somewhere between the race-oriented Grand Prix 4000s and training-tough Gatorskins. The 4-Season is aimed at riders who want a bit of extra flat protection, so they are a really great training tyre that is not as bulky as most that offer flat protection. I usually get 2000-2400 miles out of a rear tire before cords are exposed while running 110 psi with a team weight of 305 pounds. Teams that climb a great deal or those with greater weight should expect fewer miles, also for single bikes perhaps better than I get.
Our season isn't too long here in AK, but as short as it is, you get a full season of road grit, ground up glass, and various sharp objects that will DESTROY any tire that isn't up to the task. These are and then some. Bravo Conti!
fast delivery, well packaged, and love the all season continental tires 700mm bicycle tires.
My previous big "S" Armadillo tires felt like they were trying to kill me. These ride much smoother. At this point I don't care about any speed difference (not sure if there is). It seems like I'm on a different bike now.
I started using Continental GP 4 Seasons for long distance riding 200k plus. I normally ride the GP4000 but they do not hold up as well for Randonneuring. The 4 Seasons are a good blend of comfort, performance and toughness. I have yet to have a flat with them.
MY FAVORITE ROAD TIRES. THIS COMPANY STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. GOOD STUFF.
Amazing race ready tire at amazing price. Enough said!
these tires are great, haven't found any better, last years set had 0 flats on the front and only 2-3 on the rear, and about 2500 miles on them so far, should get another month or so on them before I put the new ones on.
The roads I travel are littered with glass and debris. I'm no slouch at changing a tire but absolutely love not having to do it! Buy them, you'll like them.
I am using this tyre mostly for winter time but I find it to be the best all around tyre I have ever used. Great puncture resistnance, great ride quality and nothing but satisfaction. The only con is the price but it is a pill you can swallow if this is the only tyre you will use in the 4500 KM..
I ride 100 to 150 miles per week on glass and debris littered roads. These tires have given me miles of good rides with no flats. What else can I ask for. Thanks.
So far these installed easily on a 2011 Specialized Sirrus Comp and meet the need for a more durable road bike tire plus endurance for the Florida asphalt road surface temperatures
I can't believe this excellent tire - the Conti Grand Prix 4 Season - can be so affordable. And we need them around here! The roads where I ride (near San Francisco) have their challenges (potholes and debris), yet these tires still hold up better than any others. They're quite pricey here in the States, but ProBikeKit's price, not to mention no tax or shipping, makes them a winner for about half the retail price. Not sure how they do it, but I hope they never stop selling them!
Got these to ride for the winter, and I've decided to use them year-round. They are incredibly durable, despite the horrible roads where I live in the Northeast US. They seem to roll as well as the 4000S, with no flats in 1000 miles.
Haven't ridden on them yet, but the service from PROBIKEKIT was excellent.
Tyres were delivered quick and at great price. Last pair lasted 4,000 km before a flat.
excellent tyre, does not get better than this.
Everything happened as expected - very good experience. Quality product at a good price - good value.
This is a great racing tire for poor pavement and even dirt.
Wow, what a tyre !!! The best out there for the money. Thanks PBK.
Great all around tire gravel, crushed limestone, light snow , rain these tires can handle it all, and the 700 X 28 makes for a comfy ride for long off season rides when super light and sticky compounds aren't necessary. Very pleased with this buy.
I installed these prior to a ride of 200 miles on chip & seal road surfaces in TX and the 28 mm width provided excellent relief when compared to 23 mm models.
Great road tire. Very durable.
Mounted my first tire and brought it up to pressure.... Measured the tire with my calipers and they are 25m wide unstead of 28m that is marked. The 4000s tires run true to size so I was surprised by this. They still look like a good durable tire and will withhold final judgement until riding them over time.
Best commuting tires for road bikes I've ever used! I regularly ride ~25 miles each way to work 4 days a week and rarely ever get a flat. These tires and the gp 4000s are the only tires I ever use on clinchers.
There are only slow riders, not tires.
I got the 28mm grand prix 4 seasons, as always pbk had the best pricing... I was concerned that tyres would be slow per some reviews, not the case, and the 28mm width would be too much. Conti has remained true and provides a little less width than the label, these are probably 26mm which is about what I was looking for anyways. Would recommend, great tyres, great service from PBK!
