It took a couple weeks for me to get these in Chicago, IL USA from the UK, but heck, they traveled all the way across the Atlantic! After enduring the harsh journey riddled with sea spray, US Customs, and possibly a pirate or two, these tires showed up beaten, bruised and all but broken. The packaging was anyways, but who needs the cardboard that they're packaged in? Not me.
I took these bad boys home with me and no sooner had I walked through the door I had my bike on the stand taking the wheels off. I stripped them of their old cut up Bontrager tires, which had served me well through the summer but could not get me down the street anymore without fear of busting through the cords. I removed the GP400S's from the shipping bag and marveled at their beauty. The smell of new rubber tantalized my nose as I wrenched them onto my rims. They were a hard fit at first, but boy, they're worth the work. Unfortunately for me the rain gods had decided to throw down sleet on my neighborhood that day, so I was forced to hang the bike up for the night and dream of the awesome ride I was about to have the next day.
5AM, winter kit, water bottle, me, and my new tires. Blazing down the road never felt so good as it did with the new Conti's. Not only did they allow me to maneuver around the car-sized potholes of Chicago streets, but also roll like I've never rolled before. Man these things are slick! Quiet, fast, grippy, everything I could have ever wanted in a tire has been incarnated into one beautiful piece of German-made greatness. The only sound I heard was the breath in my chest and the steady whir of my drivetrain, pure serenity.
If you have been searching for the perfect tire, well then by George look no further. There has never been a better piece of rounded rubber made than the Conti GP4000S. I'm a big rider, 240 at the moment, but these things handle bumps, corners, and every sort of thing the road can throw at you with the utmost grace. This was easily the best $80 (48.92lb for you other guys) I have spent on my bike. Buy these and don't look back, this my friends, is perfection.

Great tire and came pretty fast.
These tires are really sticky and hold up well to road debris. I ordered a second pair because they were on sale and rarely see the 25s on sale.
We were riding down the front side of GMR in southern California at a pretty quick pace. I was able to handle the sharp corners with no problems...my friend who had the Michelin Pro 4 tires was trying to keep up and his front tire washed out.
These instill confidence and roll really fast.

I've been using the 25mm version of these for a couple of years now and I love 'em. They're light, grippy and comfortable, since I can run them as low as 72/82 psi front/rear without them feeling mushy or bouncy (I weigh 172#). I did suffer a small sidewall cut on one tire, but it was apparently just a fluke, as I've had no problems with any others. It was easily repaired from the inside and the tire is still in service.

I migrated from the stock tires on my bike to the Continental Gatorskin. Those were good tires but I wanted less rolling resistance. I migrated then to the GP4000. The GP4000 is a great tire but I could not find them in 25 mm. I then found the GP4000s in 25 mm width.
These are great tires, allow me to run a lower pressure than with the 23 mm version and are durable. I can get at least 3500 miles on the rear and much more on the front. I have two sets of wheels and run the newest on the wheels I use for group rides and migrate the used tires from the group ride wheels to the training wheels when they wear out or get damaged.
The biggest problem I've had is with tire cuts which can limit the life of a tire but the GP4000s is a fast tire.
This is the tire that I'll specify from now on.
when the best will only do use gp-4000s and PBK!!!!t
Just mounted my second set of 4000S tires and I am VERY pleased with them. Great mileage, handling, and no punctures in 3000 miles!
These were my first Conti Grand Prix 4000s. With 150 miles on them I rode them on a 106 mile century ride in cold, rainy weather that took our bikes through some adverse conditions (gravel, sand, etc. washed onto the road).
The con is that when the ride was over I discovered a gash that had gone through the tire and a little bit of inner tube was starting to protrude, though thank heaven it hadn't popped. I also had to use pliers to dig out three small rock chips that were embedded in the tread.
The pro is that the gash might have been bigger and I'd have been on the side of the road with a popped inner tube and gashed tire tread, and none of those chips that I had to dig out with pliers penetrated all the way through and caused a flat. So the bad things this tire suffered were the glass being half empty, but thankfully the tire never deflated on me because of any of this on a really nasty ride, and that's the glass being at least 3/4 full.
Also, these tires replaced a set of Gatorskins that I'd been riding around for about 2000 miles now. There's still plenty of tread on the gators, even the rear, but I wanted to try the GP4Ks, and so far I really like the road feel. It's definitely a more pleasant ride.
I recently switched to Continental 4000S tires on the recommendation of friends. I have ridden Vittoria EVO Open Corsa and Veloflex Corsa for 10+ years with great satisfaction.
The Continentals are at least a good as the others but seem to be more true on the rim and wear better; since these are not cheap tires, that is important. At this point I have ridden more than 1000 miles on the set with little sign of wear or puncture. The handling is very similar to the others and one step off of sewups.
Thanks to your great pricing, I have stocked up on the 4000S tires and will change my other bikes as the need arises.
I am a big fan of the Conti GP 4000S tires. They have very low rolling resistance, good traction, corner well, and are reasonably durable. I prefer the 25 mm when I can get them at a good price but the 23's are perfectly fine.
This tires are so far the best tires I have ever try,
They are fast, light and very good grip on turns.
Love this tires and I'll keep using them,
No need to try other ones.
the best tires on the market , thanks.
I have had these tires in the past. I get approximately 5200 out of a set. I rotate the tires at about 2500, and I think that helps, too.
A great price on Continental GP4000s tires, would buy again from this company!
Great, light-weight tire at a good price.

Certainly not as supple a ride as a tubular, but way more durable. I use the Conti for the rear and a Vittoria Pro CXII for the front. Quite a nice combo!
This is really a great tire, I have used it now for +3,000 Km without any issue. It's my tire of choice along with the gatorskin, which I tend to used more in winter.
Fast delivery. Great prices all the time

Good tire overall, do get side wall cuts from hitting stuff in the road more than with other tires I have tried, do run them a little lower for handing and such. They hold in corners well at speed, haven't reached the edge of sliding yet but hope I never do, Would have rated them a 5 but have cut 2 of them with less than a 100 total miles on them total. Now trying 25MM ones and all season for the winter.

I've ridden the 23mm version of this tire for two years now and it's been great. I just built up a set of wide clinchers and put the 25mm version on. Wow, what a nice ride. Just as fast and responsive but with a more comfortable, smoother ride because I can run them at lower pressures.
The Conti. 4000s is my go-to tire.
The Continental Grand Prix 4000S Clincher Road Tyre gave a smooth ride, one of two tires had defective bead after a 40 ft ride. Otherwise find these tires very comfortable ride.

Awesome tire. Great holding power in the corners, good road feel, durable and grippy! I used and raced these all season and only replaced one after 5000 miles when I cut the sidewall on a rock. Did great at Battenkill, NY and up Mt. Washington in NH. They're a bargain.

This was probably the fifth or sixth set of these tires (tyres) that I have ordered. They ride smooth, grip well and are long lasting. Rarely have flats with these tires (knock on wood!)
Excellent road tire. Good grip even when damp. 4,000 miles on the current pair and the wear indicators are still clearly visable.
Quick service from probikekit as well.
Tires are awesome!
They were bought for a new set of Flo Wheels. They look and perform fantastic!
Great purchase, price, shipping. Overall an awesome Experience....
Will purchase again....

Good rolling, consistent, puncture resistant tire... I've been riding these tires for a couple of years and have never been disappointed. No tire can prevent all punctures but the 4000s tries hard ...
In May 2012 I was involved in an accident that broke both bones in my left wrist. When I got the cast off I started riding again as soon as I could. I had a race in early November and had to make up for lost time. Riding was very painful to the wrist, especially in the rough roads we have in the area. One of the riding buddies strongly suggested I try the Continental 4000S tires because of their compliance and ability to absorb road shock. It is only my perception but the reduction in road shock over my previous tires seemed to be approximately 50%. Much less pain over the 100 mile training rides. An added benefit was that my riding times improved as well. Undoubtedly due to the decrease in pain but also because the tires roll so well over uneven pavement. On race day, my finishing time was much faster than any previous attempt. I give the credit to the 4000S tires.

Great tires, and the PBK price is incredibly low. If you are a large biker, these are the tires for you.
Conti GP tires are very reliable and resist punctures very well and you get great mileage life from the tires.

These are the only tires I run. They're long-lasting, feel great on the pavement, and fast.
I love these tires. I have been using them exclusively now for at least four years because of their durability and flat resistance. The sidewalls do not cut easily even on gravel roads, and I have ridden on them a lot with these tires. In addition I rarely get a flat, even when others on a club ride are flatting frequently. The cornering is very predictable even on rough pavement. All in all a five star tire. I would definitely recommend them.

I've been riding the Continental Gatorskin tires for years and this is my race day tire. It is nice and light with good flat protection. You can't go wrong with these tires if you are looking for an excellent all around tire that can go pretty much anywhere (given there are roads)
