Conti Giro tubular

Not bad for the price. These tyres never settle properly on the rim at the valve (noticed this before on my last set of these tyres). You can't notice it while riding - but can always see a little bump in the tyre when spinning the wheel.

Tyres

Easy and quick to install and great on the roads.

Expectations were not met

Poor construction. Low millage punctures were a reoccurring problem I faced when riding these tubular tires. I bought three total and have already had a sidewall puncture and a puncture through the fresh tread of a brand new tire during their first ride.

Conti Giro

These tyres are great value for the money. Decent mileage and comfort. In a pinch you can race them. For training, they are perfectly fine. Super comfortable - I love running these tires especially on longer days.

Continental Giro

Although supposedly a training tyre, I use it as a race tyre as it does not puncture as often on the rough Australian roads as do the lighter offerings, yet it rolls almost as well. It does, of course, outperform clinchers and considering the bargain price from PBK, it is outstanding value.

giro tyre

Best of the training tyres in wear and good service and not prone to snake warp as earlier as the Victoria training tyre gives up sooner as the strands crack under the strain .I found out that letting air out each time after training has increased the life significantly as its not under pressure all the time .As I mend my own tubulars the outer tape is laid down with better glue and also the name its self tells the story of the tyre .This is the best of training tyres in rain and heat in Australia and it always go the miles .

giro tubs

these are pretty good tubs that I use all the time now. cheap as chips and easy to fit. they dont roll too great, bit lumpy but for £12.50 what do you want. they look a bit daft on my zipp 202s too but they last a few months and ive tried ALL the top tubs conti, vittoria and had the same problems only on a grander more expensive scale. cheap and cheerful and delivered in no time from PBK.

The Continental Giro Tubular Road Tyre are a great training tyre. They're easy to glue once stretched and durable. Not the lightest in the world but at this price they are great value for money.

Excellent Tubular

I use these tires for training and bought the cheapest tubular available, not wanting to loose a lot of money if it flats or wears out fast. I currently have 1K on a set. the front has all tread left and the rear has worn to a smooth surface. The rear does not have any knicks or gashes at all. I have had these on smooth roads, tar and chip, and even a few gravel roads(unintentially) with no issues. They hold the road very well.
I will run these as my training tires from here on out. You simply cannot beat the value. My last set of clincher tires were shot at 2.4K miles. I was hoping for 2K out of the Giro's and it seems I will get it

As good as a budget tyre gets

Having used more expensive tyres in the past it seemed logical to give these a go to use as training wheels. I must admit I was pretty impressed you could get such a reliable tyre for such a low price.

The rolling resistance is minimal, they rolled the same as the previous Tufo Elite tubs I had before. Despite lacking a bit of grip these make perfect tyres for using over the winter, or just to get the miles in.

Much more durable than I first expected, as the price would obviously hint at cheaper rubber & manufacturing process, these have outlasted many other tyres I have used on other wheels.

A favourite of mine & an essential buy for anyone running training wheels needing tubs
