Much Better...
I had a Own brand name saddle that came with the bike and I simply was not satisfied with it. I have a Selle Italia SLR flow race type saddle on my race bike I wanted more comfort for the winter bike so I chose this. It does not feel particularly soft and cushioned at first but to be fair it is supportive but gentle, I never noticed the wider rear (150mm?) than the other saddle and found it comfortable. However I have only been out for about 2 hr rides so far and I tend to find the wrong saddle really shows up after 3 - 4 hrs. But I am confident that I made the right choice. Perhaps it may be the right one for you too! Good luck with your search...
