The Time Xpresso 6 Pedals boast an automatic pre-opening mechanism, which provides an auto step-in engagement with the cleat. With a steel axle and composite body with a flexible carbon blade, the lightweight pedals have an oversized design to provide 700mm2 of surface contact, whilst the Q-factor adjustment allows you to set the lateral position of your foot. The BioPosition Concept also minimises the distance between your foot and the pedal axle, helping to promote natural movement of your joints. - L.M.

They should have called these Time Gemini as they are great and terrible in one! In general, everything they claim is true. The Time Xpresso 6 Pedals are incredibly fast and easy to get in and out of. The "business side" stays up when you're not clipped in, making it unnecessary to mess with flipping it back over to engage - so nice! From my first ride, they were very comfortable and caused no hot spots at all. I really thought I had found the perfect pedals. And then the squeaking started. Wow! It is the worst noise I have ever heard out of a pedal, and it was on every stroke from the second ride on. My buddies got so sick of it, they wouldn't ride with me most of the way back home. It is awful! You can recreate the noise just by turning your foot side to side while clipped in. It sounds like a really bad, but very loud duck call. Needless to say, they are no longer on my bike, and while my sanity and my buddies thanked me. I can honestly say I am very disappointed.
I had the previous generation of Time pedals and liked them but had a few issues. The Time Xpresso 6 Pedals solved them all. Easy to engage, quiet when clicking in, yet feel very firm. They're much better than the last pair I had and they work great. Given the cost and performance, I don't think you can do better.
