Shimano Ultegra PD-6800 Pedals are made of a carbon compositite that's both durable and lightweight. The pedals feature an extra-wide platform for maximum, efficient transfer of power.
The stainless steel body plate reduces flex and wear, and the pedals also feature a wide bearing placement for stable, uniform load distribution.

Replaced a set of older 105 aluminum pedals with these. Very nice, the composite design is very light, sometimes they seem to disappear against my foot, can tell the lower mass rotates more easily. Otherwise, similar to the old ones, snaps in and out easily, no difference there, really. Excellent pedals!
Good quality, light weight, exactly what I expected. Not as light as the Dura Ace pedals, but not as expensive either. Only been on 3 rides for about 125 miles but so far, no complaints at all.
Very pleased. The pedals are stiff, lightweight, and less than half the price that I would have paid in the states. Would highly recommend from probikekit.
these pedels take a lot of adjusting to get right. They are wider than my Excelsior pedals, but worked fine once i got snaped in.
PBK's promotion that brought the price of the Ultegra carbon SPD-SL to a point where I couldn't say no... came at a perfect time. Tho' not consumed by weight-weenie-ness, as a climber, I do try to avail myself of reasonably priced replacements/upgrades (on a $/gram basis). This purchase satisfied that value criterion, and have performed as expected. I suppose the only "Con" -- which has been true for every pair of Shimano SPD-SL pedals I have purchased -- is that I have to dial down the release tension all the way to the MINIMUM to be close to what I can overcome easily enough for an emergency clip-out on either foot (i.e., I have a "dominant" foot... and the other foot isn't as efficient). Not sure if Shimano can... or can't... or won't... expand that release tension range's lower limit just a bit??? That said, the pedal/cleat system provides a stable, large pedaling platform, and the ability to dial in the float with the cleat selection is very useful for riders with varying needs and/or knee issues. Although there are better systems for, say, crit racing where getting clipped in quickly can be crucial (e.g., Speedplay), I have gotten better at hitting the SPD-SL pedal first time and getting clipped in on the first or 2nd stroke. As with all things in life, it's a matter of trade-offs!
I received my new pedals about 2 weeks ago and am very happy with them. Very light and easy to get into/out of. I am a triathlete and I especially like the feel of getting into these after the swim. Nice wide base to plant your foot into that helps prevent hot and dead spots too. I highly recommend these pedals.
So these are actually my first set of clippers pedals after becoming an avid cycler a year ago. Bottom line is they are great and I'd highly recommended them. Also, shipping was much faster than listed by the ship date, which was great since I was using them to practice for a cycling tour. At first I couldn't believe the price that probike listed them, but figured I couldn't miss that deal. It was the lowest price I had seen them for. Buy them, you won't regret it. It comes with the pedals, cleats, screws, and instruction manual in a retail box.
Probikekit is a excellent place to buy bike parts. Fast shipping and quick responses to any questions. I have told all my cycling friends to use ProBikeKit.
Excellent seller. Ship to Miami, USA in two weeks. Good Prices and good delivery time. Product as description. Shimano Ultegra PD-6800 Pedals are the best
Shimano pedals are the best and you can't go wrong with these. I had some Ultegras that were about 4 years old and were fine, but I figured it was time for an upgrade. These are so much lighter!!
If you use Shimano style SPD pedal - these are about as good as it gets for the price. Very good value from ProBike Kit. These are lighter, stronger and nicer looking, AND cheaper than the Dura Ace ones I had prior.
Shimano SPD-L style pedals easy the best system for me. I used them for many years after initial tries and errors among other brands. PD-6800 Ultegra Carbon Pedals is no exception. The large platform makes all the difference and unlike some copycats the pedal allows a rotation or two without clipping in, which is crucial if you fail to clip in around cars. However you do need to spend some time adjusting pedals to your body. A slight error in the shoe/cleat axis results in considerable discomfort during ride and even can lead to the knee injury, It might not be immediately clear what causes the discomfort. The latest pedals are carbon fiber, which results in a lighter pedal but I so have some reservations as often when cornering around corners I hit the curb with the bottom of the pedal. With aluminum it results at scuffed bottom but does not affect function. Time will tell how carbon tolerates that.
They just work, every time, every day. Near Dura-Ace weight, half the cost.
Exactly as described, very easy to clip in and out. Fast delivery.
Great deal. Great pedals. Took 2 weeks to get to California. It was worth the wait.
I wanted (needed) an extra set of pedals to take with me when I travel and don't want to bring my regular ride with me. Swapped out my old Ultegra pedals to be used on rentals and put these carbon pedals on my Domane. As soon as the snow melts here, We'll give them a try. My first purchase through Pro Bike Kit. Easy and quick. Next purchase will be a new set of wheels.
Great pedals, bought to complement Ultegra 6800 Groupset. Outstanding price, outstanding pedals, will take about 2 weeks to arrive so plan ahead on your purchase.
I have not received my pedals yet. I have a brand new bike that I cannot ride because I don't have any pedals.
Excellent pedals, great price, came within the specified shipping period.
Received them in perfect condition a week after expected delivery date (to US), but worth the wait for half the price. Clipping in and out is as expected. You really need to exaggerate your foot turn to exit the peddals, but I'm sure it will get easier after breaking them in. Over all, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Purchased as an Xmas gift for my son, a very choosy triathelete. Due to winter weather in upstate NY, he won't be able to get a good workout and review for a few months. So far we can say good service; good price. I expect my family will be shopping at probikekit in the future.
Love this pedals, highly recommend to anyone....
Great pedals! They are easy to get in and out of and has great surface for pedaling. The price is great and I would recommend.
Thinking my my Shimano PD-6700's might be wearing out soon after two full seasons and 13,000+ miles, I bought these, and may actually start using them, but not next season, as the old ones are proving more durable than that, as well as lightweight, reliable, and all the stuff I take for granted. I have found--and these are like my fourth pair of Shimano Ultegra pedals--that they are indeed the best pedal per pound, whether you interpret "pound" as their weight (or rather the lack of it), or as there cost (although I paid in dollars not Pounds).
This is an awesome pedal, it's light, tough, and works flawlessly. The bearings seem great, the pedals always swing to to a position with the back down so that you can step into them to get going quickly! There is a bit of a learning curve with SPD-SL pedals as they are single sided, but you'll quickly learn how to do it so there's no need to worry about that. PBK's service was great, they had the best price around and shipped quickly, however due to the service they use, it takes about two weeks to reach the US so keep that in mind before ordering so you can plan ahead. All in all, I would highly recommend this pedal system, and PBK's service/shopping experience.
the pedal is strong. it will get scratched due to the construction that is not metal. this is just cosmetic, and hey it makes the pedal lighter. i am a 200lbs strong rider 180cm/5'11" and there is no flex when i do hill repeats or put a lot of power on these. after a while a have come to realize that shimano spd pedals have this issue with the yellow cleats. the mention the yellow ones because these are the only ones that i have used. they squeak under steady power, meaning not out of the saddle. the plastic gets polished and when it rubs against the pedal they create a squeaky sound that is loud. the solution is to put some grease on the cleat. if it happens during a ride , put water on the pedal and it will go away for about an hour. then put more water. this starts to happen when i start doing power drills on grass. therefore placing a lot of power on them. i had the same problem with my previous ultegra metal pedals. these are the same just lighter. a great pedal worth of 4 stars. 5 would be w/o the squeak which i think is from the cleat/pedal design. normal riders that ride with lower power loads on the pedals wont have this problem.
Great Shamino pedals and price. Took about 2 1/2 weeks to arrive. Box was severely smashed but pedals look fine.
A superb pedal at a very affordable price!
Be prepared for a learning experience if you are switching from SPD's to SPD-SL's. After 400 miles, I am still struggling to clip in. Maybe I am just a slow learner. Anyway, I bought these SPD-SL's because my new Sidi's with the Millennium 3 sole are not compatible with the SPD's I have been using on the road since 2002 . For me: 1) These pedals offer no weight advantage over my Shimano A-520 pedals 2) While the cleat footprint is much larger than the SPD, I feel no difference and still get hot spots in hot weather. 3) They are three times more expensive than the A-520's. 4) They are a challenge to clip in, for me anyway. The pedals appear to be well made, are less Freddish than the A-520's, and the cleats are easier to walk in than SPD's, but that's about all I can say for them.
The PD 6800 pedals are well worth the money. They are well designed, comfortable, light, very supportive, easy to install and adjust, and look great. What's not to like?
Great product and even though the website does not say whether the cleats are sold separately, they are, in fact, included with the pedals.
The pedals are light and wider allowing more stability and power, I am extremely satisfied and would recommend them to anyone who rides.
