Put a spring in your step. The new concept of the Keo Blade Carbon Pedal is based on a carbon blade spring. This provides up to 30 percent greater linear spring tension feel than past models. This gives you a pedal that's very secure, which has a more positive spring rate feeling, allowing for a more distinct entry and release.

Key Features:

  • A Nano Carbon leaf spring offers you a snappier engagement and release while riding. This also ensures a stronger initial clip out that helps prevent accidental release while riding.
  • 2 different spring tension blades are available for the Kéo Blade Carbon: 12Nm, which will suit most cyclists, and 16Nm for racers seeking even higher tension.
  • The platform, 17% wider with respect to the Kéo Carbon, in brushed INOX stainless steel allows for maximum stiffness during power transfer and support.
  • The body of the pedal, made from long fibre injected carbon with INOX contact areas and an oversized axle make this pedal very reliable, durable and one of the lightest pedals on the market.
  • Comes with non-skid Kéo Grip cleats that have built in rubber contacts providing confidence while walking.
  • Each pedal weighs 113g without cleats (PBK Office Scales).
  • Comes with 12Nm or 16Nm spring tension.

Look Keo Carbon Blades

An excellent road bike pedal. Easy to clip-in and holds you in securely. A quality product.

huge improvement

Look's latest flagship road pedal trades in the usual wound steel spring in favour of a flexible carbon fibre 'blade'. Though one might think the primary motivation for doing so is reducing weight, the main benefit is the difference in feel produced by the altered spring curve....The titanium spindle rotates virtually drag-free on three silky-smooth cartridge bearings and longer threads afford a bit of stance width adjustment for those in need....Up top, Look have further improved upon the KéO 2 Max's wide stainless steel plate with an even bigger and wider piece on the KéO Blade that provides the expected gains in foot stability – those coming from older-style KéOs will notice a huge improvement.

Stable, super-light and secure with a positive entry and release

Stable, super-light and secure with a positive entry and release – but they’ll cost you. The Kéo Blade Carbon has a pedal platform that’s 31% larger than the existing Kéo Carbon’s, and it’s 17% wider for a slightly more stable feel that you notice most when you’re riding out of the saddle. A stainless steel plate across the contact area adds durability to the long carbon-fibre pedal body while the oversized titanium axle spins super-smooth on triple bearings – two roller bearings and a needle bearing. Oh, and the weight? 190g for the pair – mega-light.
We’ve really got nothing negative to say about these pedals so far. We don’t know about the long-term durability of the carbon fibre blade yet, but Look reckon they’ve done their homework and it will continue performing from now until Doomsday without the need for replacement. We’ll let you know if things don’t turn out that way. It’s just the price that might make you flinch.

So nice!

I started riding Look pedals back in the days of Hinault and LeMond, which is saying something, geez, they were heavy, ugly but all the shot.... I used them until about ten years ago, when I switched to Campy Pro Fits, which are a nice pedal but kind of small cleat area and I was getting bad cramps and hot feet.. So, I decided to have another go at Look, as they seem to have it all figured out now.. I got the pair with the strong spring, which I'd recommend unless you're really a novice, and set up the cleats on a new pair of Sidi Laser shoes. Set up was a snap even though I use LeMond wedges on one shoe, just replaced the screws with some a few mil longer and off we went.. I found no probs getting in to the pedal, didn't find the angle odd, someone wrote they hang funny, and very positive click in. The grey cleats have just the right amount of float for me, and after 3.5 hours, my feet and legs felt really good, a touch of stiffness that anyone will get from a new set up but really pleased with the feel and performance of these pedals, will order another pair for the second bike!

Best Keo yet

I've used Keo pedals for years and these are the best so far. I've put a few thousand kms on these and I'm very pleased.
I switch between shoes with red cleats and grey and find they both work fine.

Great pedal to upgrade from old Keos

So I heard about these new Keos with carbon blades. I have been a loyal Look user for a number of years and was intrigued at the concept of using a piece of carbon to replace a spring. I bought a pair and am amazed at the quality, feel and responsiveness. Also its nice to know the tension is identical on both left and right pedals. Suggest the 12NM tension unless you are a pro or you have great knees! Enjoy!

Stunning pedals

These pedals offer the correct combination of smoothness power and feel. The first thing you notice is how light these are, then you find how easy they spin.
The only problem I've had with these are that they sit at an odd angle when unclipped. They tend to rest at 10 o'clock meaning I'd often step on the bottom.

Best pedal Look has ever made

I have been riding Look pedals for 20 years. These are by far the best ever made. Super light, stiff, easy entry and a great platform. I have 2 pairs of these, one on my road bike, one on my TT bike. They perform equally well on both. At the current PBK price I may just buy a 3rd pair for my old bike.

Best Keo

I love the wide platform. The stability compared to the older models is very noticeable. The weight is a nice bonus.

Fantastic product, big improvement on previous Look Keo Composites

I bought these as a replacement for a pair of Look Keo Composites (first version, not the 2's) and are massively impressed.

The pedals are well built, very light, and came with two sets of cleats (1 grip, 1 regular). Installation of the cleat was a breeze due to the position memory on the cleats, and the allen key mechanism on the pedals themselves.

Clipping in with these cleats seems much easier than the old 'narrow' pedal, these just seem to lock in immediately. The carbon blade provides a very direct and secure clip in mechanism compared to the old spring based mechanisms. The wider platform is noticeable and provides a stable and reaffirming pedal.

I was initially confused as to whether to get the lower or higher tension blade (12nm v 16nm) and eventually went with the 16's. I'm glad I did. They are a little tighter than the setting on my old springs, but are not difficult to get in and out of (if anything they are easier than the old pedals). If anyone is considering the 16's but are unsure I would recommend to just get the higher tension.
