The 3T Ergoterra is a wide drop bar for cyclocross with flared drops for elbow clearance on rough ground and a reinforced central section for crosstop brakes.

It has the same compact drop and reach as the well-liked Ergosum road bar tailored to provide more control over technical terrain. Viewed from above the drops angle outwards by 6° this means the 45-cm model is 42 cm at the hoods (47-cm model 44 cm).

Compound-curved bends preserve the vertical alignment of brake/shifter levers at their mounting point so the transmission manufacturer's designed ergonomics are not compromised despite the outward flare of the drops.

The bar's centre section of 31.8mm is extended and reinforced to mount crosstop brake levers. Over rough ground that jostles the rider's hand hold Ergoterra offers more lateral clearance for the forearms which should also help with run-ups.

Key Features:

Good for gravel bike

I like 3T bars so when I was looking to build a gravel bike I chose these. I was undecided on the size, given the unusual measurements (43/45 or 45/47). My road bike has 3T Ergonova LTD in size 44cm. I ended up going with these in size 43/45 (i am 6'2"), and the width at the hoods is identical to the 44cm Erognovas. At the drops they do flare out a little, but most of the flare is right at the end, at the bar plug. They weighed 200g on my scale. I liked the cable channel on the front of the bars which enables a very smooth finish when wrapped in tape. I hope this helps you pick the appropriate width for your needs. My only complaint is that it took nearly a month to arrive to Canada.... however at least there was no duty/tax.
