Excellent Italian Craftsmanship

First of all, there is likely very little difference between Chorus and Record and Record to Super Record, aside from the graphics. However, if you must match your other components, then Record is well priced. It is definitely less expensive to purchase the entire grouppo.

Design:
The design is truly a work of art. The clear coat on the crankarms definitely highlight the carbon and the graphics. The 8-ramp pins definitely make shifting from small ring to big ring very smooth and responsive. I did notice that this is much quieter than my 10 speed set up. Campagnolo claims that the special treatment on the chainrings help reduce wear, but this is yet to be proven as I just built up my bike with the 11 speed group. I love the darker finish on the chainrings - very stealth looking.

Finish:
I love the graphics, the clear coat on the carbon is very well done. One thing that I noticed though is that the clear coat around the pedal mount is a little rough and if you happen to use a pedal wrench that is thicker than a Park model, you may inadvertently damage the clear coat - be careful.

Summary:
Campagnolo is expensive, but then again so is a Ferrari, so if you are partial to mechanical shifting (Campy Electronic is coming), Campagnolo is the best one out there, hands down!
