I purchased the Garmin Edge 500 after reading a lot of reviews online. I am very pleased with it. I got it with the HR monitor and cadence. I do a lot of cross country MT biking and enjoy check the stats at the end of the ride. The cadence is not as important as the HR monitor. I purchased the unit from Probikekit and as they had advertised, it was about 20 days till it showed up. However, once I received the package, it was exactly what I ordered and I saved big $ ordering through these guys. I would highly recommend ordering through them if you want a great deal. Everywhere else I checked wanted about $100 more for the same product. I really like the it and use it every time I ride. Happy Trails!

I have been using my Garmin 500 for over a year now after trying previously using a a Polar computer. My coach lives at the other end of the country and I download my training sessions from the Garmin to a website and he analyses the information of my ride. The Garmin is much more user friendly than the Polar that you really needed to carry the manual with it in case you pushed the wrong button. I only spent a short amount of time setting up the Garmins 3 display screens which was surprisingly easy and I can easily rotate the display screens during my ride to find whatever info I need. The bike setup was easy. The computer unit itself mounts well and is tough. The screen is still like new and I place it in a small soft lined case whenever I transport my bike. Charging up the unit is great using either your computer or a separate power charger. Worth every cent.

I brought this unit on sale over the easter weekend and am amazed at the ease of set up/use and the reliability of the tracking. This unit has heaps of useful features allowing you to race yourself over a previous ridden course and prepare workouts prior to going out for a ride.A great training tool.
