The Ultegra CN-6701 10 speed bicycle chain is a narrow, lightweight directional chain engineered to offer optimal cassette and chainset interaction and maximum power transfer for a greater cycling performance.
The outer plate has been developed to reduce the chance of chain suck while the inner plate is designed to give better, more efficient contact with gears for smoother shifting under high loads, enhanced rigidity and almost silent operation. – L.R.

Shims of pavkaged ultegra chain as advertised
The Ultegra chain performs well. Shifting is smooth and it holds up well. I typically get 2500miles / 3750km before I need to change it. For me it's the best balance of price and performance.
The shimano ultegra chain is a great value. I always get great mileage, but of course you have to keep it lubed and practice good shifting!!
Smooth ride, crisp response. Just hands down great!!!!!!
The only thing on my current ride that was not an Ultegra kit was the chain. Great upgrade. Smoother shifts and a bit less weight.
Thank you! Best prices anywhere for a quality product. Shipping was prompt and got to me faster than some places shipping right here in my own country! Probikekit is always my first option when looking to buy outstanding biking products at a great price.
Great service, cassette works great. Only question is that directions show a spacer washer next to lock ring which wasn't included in the package.
Nice chain, pretty smooth on the changes. Easy to install.
Perfectly Adequate Chain, no need for a Dura Ace or the like. A Great Value, Fast Shipping. Much faster than expected.
The best price around on the Shimano Ultegra replacement chain. Bicycling doesn't get any better!!!
Have used these chains for 3 years and have always gotten excellent service
This is an excellent chain for an unbeatable price. I've used then for years and replace each season to keep the drive-train going longer before I have to replace the cassette and chain rings.
Can't go wrong with Ultegra series.
Great chain for the price, cannot beat that price.
Bought two of these for me and two for a friend. Great chain and you can't beat the price. I had a problem with one chain due to the way it was put on. Shimano would not do anything about this, but Pro Bike Kit did. They are a great company. Have referred many satisfied persons to them. And their price on this chain was much lower than I could find anyplace else. Thanks PBK.
I have been useing the Ultegra groups since 1999. I usually replace the cassette and chain at about 7000 miles. All I do inbetween is lube and clean the chain. At about the 7000 mile mark shiifting becomes less than clean. Why spend triple the cost on 'better' groups when this works. I am currently riding a 6.2 Modone.
I've been using Shimano Ultegra components on my bikes for the last 15+ years. I've never had a component related failure. With regular cleaning and lubrication I have been able to get in excess of 5,000 miles on an Ultegra chain before my chain wear indicator tool recommended replacement, and even then shifting was still accurate and relatively crisp. I don't have a bottomless bank account, so I chose to go with the modestly priced Ultegra component group over the Dura-Ace. Yes, the Ultegra is a bit heavier, and the finish detail is not as sexy but it's every bit as performance oriented and reliable as the Dura-Ace for much less money. And over the years Shimano seems to trickle down technology and design features from Dura-Ace to Ultegra and even 105 so that the differences become less noticeable. For the price that PBK sells this chain it was an absolute no-brainer for me. I bought two !
Put this on when I upgraded my components. Shifts smooth and installs easy.
Excellent chain. Long wearing, shifts great; just what you want in a chain.
Excellent product with a really fast shipping.
An excellent chain for the price. You can't beat PBK.
I was using the Dura Ace 7800 chain, but started using the Ultegra CN-6701 chain. I think the Ultegra works just as good and lasts just as long. I replace my chains every 2500 to 3000 miles. I ride 8000 miles per year.
These were on sale for half off, so I ordered two. They arrived a couple weeks later in generic packaging, but they are new, 6701 chains. Great deal. Would definitely order from ProBikeKit again.
I bought two Ultegra CN-6701 chains recently, trying to see if they were going to be a bit quieter than my KMC X-10SL chains. They are nice and smooth and pretty quiet and am impressed. For the value a, they were a great bargain. I usually buy the KMC X-10SL's. They have been great chains, though a bit louder. Shimano chains definitely are quieter and smoother in the shifting but weigh a bit more. I give these a 4 star rating for being a great bargain and works really well. No need to move up to the dura-ace chain except for weight savings, but they are definitely more expensive, especially the way I change chains so often to keep my SRAM red cassettes in tip top shape.
Quite a good chain, at a very low price. I should probably buy more of them, because I find that bargain chains just don't work as near perfectly. And all chains wear out eventually, for me, about every 1800 miles, give or take. I've just installed one of these chains, and it works fine, no "clicking" and such. Somewhere in the world, someone is buying this same chain for perhaps twice as much.
It's 'cross season and that means the worst for drive-train components. At best, the chain survives many sessions with good maintenance but the sound of a breaking chain mid-race is not desirable. These are great chains with good plating (better than the 5700 version) and run quiet and shift well. At the discounted price, get an extra.
Great quality chain and very quiet. I ride on all Dura Ace components except for the chain and cassette which I only ride on Ultegra for durability and less in cost.
